Enhancing Network Performance through Service, Memory, and Access Monitoring

Abstract

Network monitoring enables the administrators to monitor a computer network for slow or failing components. In case of outages or other troubles the administrator can pinpoint where the exact issue is. The system enables us to identify and manage a wide range of functions, including finding the list of services running on the target machine, reading and writing memory, time, and usage details, as well as evaluating the performance and speed of the system in handling data read and write operations. It also provides access to various specifications such as login details, user access permissions, database lists, and access rights to those databases. Additionally, the system supports viewing server roles, member groups, and database roles, ensuring comprehensive monitoring and control over both system and database operations.

Existing System

  • Kernel based data extraction is impossible in the existing methodologies.
  • We don’t have an option of accessing the processing details of the system
  • Extracting user information’s of a machine/server is impossible due to security breach
  • Fetching the list of services from the remote machine cannot be achieved.

Proposed System

In the existing system, they’ve proposed various techniques in visualizing the network data. But unfortunately, they couldn’t identify or specify the implication of the major disaster or network flaw in a system. In our proposed approach, we provide the detailed visualize of the network information as mentioned below,

  • Number of TOTAL PACKET READS
  • Latest packets read in a specific interval
  • Number of TOTAL WRITES ON THE PACKETS
  • Latest packets write in a specific interval
  • Complete Input/output busy time
  • Complete CPU busy schedule
  • Complete Input/output Reads
  • Latest number of seconds Input / Output reads
  • Number of process info reported errors
  • Authentication information’s
  • Disabled services in the server

In our system, we are trying to project the detailed view of how the problem occurred and possible solution for the servers. Intrusion related information’s were considered and precautionary measures towards intrusions will be addressed in our future work.
